Fishing villages
Smoked herring and sandy beaches
The small fishing hamlets along the Hållnäs coast
are idyllic spots where people still make their living from
the sea. Here you can spend the night and treat yourself to
fresh fish and local deliacies like "böckling"
and "sotare".
Fågelsundet is in the Uppland region's largest
fishing village with well-preserved boathouses from the early
19th century.
Stop a day at Fågelsundet and enjoy sunbathing and swiming
at Nusandsviken and Storsandshålet - you will find both
sandy, family-friendly beaches and smoth stony shores where
you can spend many lazy days.
